How this video was made
Filming the instructor in her or her office makes for a more inviting and intimate lecture, similar to meeting with the instructor during office hours. For this video, the instructor prepared a script and presentation slides to use for the lecture. A video production team traveled to the instructor’s office on Duke’s campus and set up a camera, tripod and lighting. The instructor sat at his desk and read from an iPad teleprompter. Paper notes can also be used. After filming, a video editor edited the footage with the presentation slides to create a final video.
Do it Yourself
An annotated lecture is a good DIY alternative to an in-office lecture filmed by a video production team.
