Students in French 111 (Accelerated Elementary French) used their iPads to, among other things, access instructor-created content made available in ebook form using Apple’s iBooks Author. Sandra will present examples of the types of materials created and will discuss instructor and student responses to these materials, the benefits and challenges of using iBooks Author to create course content, and the usefulness of such materials as a supplement to, and perhaps eventually a replacement for, the traditional textbook.
