Learning Experience Designer
As a Learning Experience Designer, Shakiyla Huggins (she/her) prototypes and develops high-quality online learning experiences, particularly in support of Duke’s Center for Computational Thinking. Shakiyla is currently finishing her Ed.D in Education Technology from Boise State University where she is researching best practices for designing and implementing gamification in the education environment.

Background
Shakiyla holds a M.A in Teaching and certificate in Online Teaching and Instructional Design from Lenoir Rhyne University, a M.S in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina A&T State University, and a B.S in Mathematics from Virginia State University. She has worked in a variety of educational positions that span the K-college spectrum, using her expertise in online learning to enhance the educational experience of each educator and student.
