This Fall, Thompson Writing Program faculty member Jonathan Dueck is teaching a Writing 20 course, “Sounds of the Field”, where students will write ethnographically about sound and sport. For one section of the course, Dueck will be testing the iPad for various activities related to the assignments.
Thanks to Craig Roberts, students in Neuroscience Methods (NEUROSCI 184) will be able to watch 2D and 3D movies of neuroscience techniques to complement discussion with a scientist who practices the technique (and has produced the video).

As part of the CIT’s Strategic Initiative Grants program in Spring 2008, Vicki Russell, Director of the Duke University Writing Studio, received funding to investigate virtual worlds software and its use by students, and to create a “paper prototype” of a Virtual Writing Studio.
