Google Cardboard viewers are simple folded cardboard headsets that use a mobile phone for viewing virtual reality applications. Google Cardboard works with Android and iOS devicse and is an easy, fun way to try out virtual reality on your own. Apps let you experience immersive stories from The New York Times, view historical stereographs from the collection of the New York Public Library, watch documentaries in 3D, take students on virtual field trips of coral reefs and the surface of Mars, and more.
