Michael Feldstein to Deliver Keynote Address at 2014 CIT Instructional Technology Showcase – Register Now!

The 2014 Instructional Technology Showcase is just about a month and a half away. Register to attend now!  The free event will be held at the Washington Duke Inn on Monday, October 13.  The event highlights innovative teaching ideas and outstanding work by Duke faculty over the past year.  Start your morning with breakfast at 8:30 AM, and attend sessions from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Lunch will also be provided to those that register by Thursday, October 9 at 5:00 PM.

Information about the event can be found on the Showcase website.  The schedule of concurrent sessions, which will feature faculty from a wide range of departments and programs at the university, is currently being confirmed, and information about these will be posted as it becomes available.

Michael FeldsteinThis year, the Keynote Address will be delivered by Michael Feldstein.  Michael is a Partner at MindWires Consulting, Co-Publisher of e-Literate, and Co-Producer of e-Literate TV.  A lifelong educator and founder of Mindwires Consulting, Michael was an Assistant Director at the SUNY Learning Network, where he oversaw blended learning faculty development, and was part of the leadership team for the LMS platform migration efforts of this 40-campus program.  Before SUNY, he was co-founder and CEO of MindWires, a company that provided e-learning and knowledge management products and services to Fortune 500 corporations, with a special emphasis on software simulations. In a previous life, Michael was a middle school and high school teacher.

The Showcase is also a great opportunity to talk with your colleagues about teaching, the intersection of technology and learning, and to get new ideas for your own classes. We hope you’ll join us!
