Team-Based Learning conference, March 2012

The Team-Based Learning Collaborative (TBLC) is a group of educators dedicated to supporting faculty from a variety of disciplines who wish to implement Team-Based Learning.  The 11th Annual Conference on Team-Based Learning in Higher Education will be hosted by the TBLC in St. Petersburg, FL, March 1-3, 2012. Conference sessions will include plenary presentations, workshops, oral presentations, and posters.  The deadline for submission of poster abstracts is December 15, 2011; submit online at https://www.tblcmeeting.org.

The group’s recent conferences have included educators from a range of backgrounds, including medical education, other health-related disciplines, graduate and undergraduate education, professional schools, and K-12 education.  Conference attendees share teaching resources and promote the dissemination, evaluation and scholarship of Team-Based Learning.

Those new to Team-Based Learning will find sessions teaching the essential skills to start and improve a TBL program, and to manage TBL activities in class. Two other conference tracks are targeted at those with some TBL experience, to support them in expanding and improving their TBL classes.
