Re-imagining the Academy with Crisis on Campus author Mark C. Taylor

The Office of Undergraduate Education at Duke invites you to engage with Mark C. Taylor, chair of the religion department at Columbia University  and author of “Crisis on Campus: A Bold Plan for Reforming Our Colleges and Universities” (2010). He  calls for abolishing tenure and departments, better use of technology and restructuring curriculum to take an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems. His 3/16 talk on  “Restructuring Higher Education,” will take place at 5 p.m. in Room 04, Sanford School of Public Policy. Q&A will follow. The series is co-sponsored by the Kenan Institute for Ethics and the Center for Instructional Technology.
