CompSci 109 – Mobile Apps: From Concept to Client

Richard Lucic, Associate Professor of the Practice of Computer Science
Robert Duvall, Lecturer, Computer Science

Project Description:

Professors Lucic and Duvall are developing a new course in programming project management, using iPad and iPhone application development as a way of learning project management. Each student team will use an iPad to test and develop an application for their semester project, developed for a client. During the fall semester, the faculty are using an iPad to develop the course, in conjunction with two students as part of an independent study project. One of the students is developing an iPad application and will document her lessons learned. For spring semester, the course will be taught for the first time, with students working in teams to manage a project to create an application.

Start date: September 2010
